Happy Easter Everybody!!
These verses really encouraged and stuck out to me today:
" Surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth; like a lamb that is let to slaughter, and like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, so He did not open His mouth." ~ Isaiah 53:4-7
"He will swallow up death for all time, and the Lord God will wipe tears away from all faces, and He will remove the reproach of His people from all the earth; for the Lord has spoken. And it will be said in that day, "Behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us. This is the Lord for whom we have waited; let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation."" ~ Isaiah 25:8-9
Christ has risen from the dead, giving us victory over death, a bridge over the chasm of sin, and an inheritance of being with Him in His presence forever and EVER! And He died freely and without complaint. That is amazing.
